Pubs with Easter weekend beer festivals
04 April 2011 by
Here are three pubs, in or near Horsham, that are having Easter weekend (22nd to 25th April) beer festivals. If you know any others, let me know...
The Tanners Arms in Brighton Road will be having its beer festival over the whole weekend. There will be beers from Langham (Hip Hop), Dark Star (Goldengate), Filo, Arundel and Kissingate (Black Cherry Mild) with live music and BBQs on each day. The beer choice looks excellent so if you haven't tried one of the local breweries, now's your chance! More details - call 01403 588789.
The Sussex Oak in Warnham is having a festival over the Easter weekend. This year the pub is serving the best of locally produced and national award winning ales, with over 25 beers, including at least five supreme champions. Local brews will be from Dark Star, Kings, Hepworth, 1648, Arundel, Pilgrim and Langham. National beers include legends Kelham Island Pale Rider, Croach Vale Brewers Gold, Harviestoun Bitter and Twisted, Rudgate Ruby Mild and Theakstons Old Peculier.
The pub also has a tutored beer tasting session with Dave Roberts of Pilgrim Brewery on Saturday lunchtime. There is live music with Bob Falloon on the Saturday evening and live jazz with Andy Walker and Friends on Sunday lunchtime. For the younger audience a easter egg hunt takes place Sunday morning at 11am (under 10s only!). Contact the pub on 01403 265028 for more details.
The Jolly Tanners in Staplefield has 60 ales and ciders lined up for the weekend. Call the pub on 01444 400335 for more details.
