Pubs with August Bank Holiday beer festivals
13 August 2011 by
The August Bank Holiday weekend is 27th - 29th August and quite a few pubs in the Horsham area are having beer festivals. Here are a few that we know.
The Surrey Oaks near Newdigate is having its 16th August Bank Holiday Beer Festival. There will be more than 40 real ales and ciders available over the weekend with live music, an indoor skittle alley, and the chance to win a gallon of beer. Sounds good!
The Eight Bells in Bolney has its festival on Sunday 28th and Monday 29th with 20 real ales from local breweries like W.J. King and Dark Star. There will be live music (Irish, blues and jazz) over the two days with a hog roast on the Monday.
The Jolly Tanners in Staplefield has a beer and cider festival over the holiday weekend. The pub's website has more information including a list of the beers and ciders that will be available - or call the pub on 01444 400 335.
The Sussex Oak in Warnham has regular beer festivals and the August weekend is no exception. The North Sussex CAMRA branch has a page about the festival and tasting notes for the beers. Check with the pub on 01403 265028 for more details.
In addition, the Queens Head in Barns Green is having a vintage and classic car enthusiasts meeting on 28th August. More details on the pub's website.
We'll try and update this page with more information over the next few weeks but if you know any other holiday weekend beer festivals near Horsham, let us know:..
