Description
The Parrot Inn is near Leith Hill and it overlooks a large expanse of village green with cricket pitch. I've been here a few times to watch a mate play cricket and it's a delightful spot on a summer day. The pub has oak beams, fireplaces with old fashioned stoves, and Youngs ales and is about 300 years old. There are gardens and tables at the front and rear.
The pub has a farm shop in the car park where you can buy fresh produce.
Previous owners of the pub include Gary Brooker, lead singer from the 1960s pop group Procol Harum ("A Whiter Shade of Pale").
